Coca-Cola Consolidated Teammate Named Manufacturing Institute Women MAKE Awards Honoree

Coca-Cola Consolidated is excited to announce that Melanie Sabella, Vice President of Technical Services for Coca-Cola Consolidated, has been recognized by The Manufacturing Institute—the workforce development and education affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers— as a 2024 Women MAKE Awards  Honoree. This annual national awards program honors women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory floor to the C-suite.

“I am very honored to be recognized with this award,” said Melanie Sabella, Vice President of Technical Services for Coca-Cola Consolidated. “As a woman in manufacturing, it is important to share that these jobs are not just for men. Coca-Cola Consolidated is a fantastic place to work and I truly feel supported by leadership and the Company.”

The Women MAKE Awards are part of the Manufacturing Institute’s Women MAKE America initiative, which is the nation’s marquee program to close the gender gap in manufacturing. Women account for about half of the U.S. labor force but represent less than one-third of the manufacturing workforce. Women MAKE America aims to build the 21st-century manufacturing workforce by empowering and inspiring women in the industry.

“Melanie consistently demonstrates the ability to drive results, foster collaboration and inspire excellence among her teammates,” said Donnie Etheridge, Executive Vice President, Product Supply at Coca-Cola Consolidated. There is a continued need to fill jobs in manufacturing and we are proud of the work Melanie has achieved and will continue to do in this field.”

The Women MAKE Awards gala honors 100 industry leaders (“Honorees”) and 30 rising stars (“Emerging Leaders”) who have been nominated by their companies as the “go-to” women, recognized for their innovation, dedication, contributions and good counsel.

Coca-Cola Consolidated supports its Teammates in many areas of professional development and fosters a culture of diverse Servant Leaders who aim to enable others and help them achieve their full potential through learning journeys and development opportunities.
