History in Baltimore

Linda Ewing’s career with Coca-Cola Consolidated and the Coca-Cola system is a testament to dedication, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to quality. As the Consolidated Management Systems Administrator at Coca-Cola Consolidated’s Baltimore Production facility, a position she’s held since March 2016, Linda plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

“My responsibility is to help maintain a system that ensures we meet all regulatory requirements, Coca-Cola system standards and internal Coca-Cola Consolidated requirements,” she explains. Yet, for Linda, the role goes far beyond systems and documentation. “At its core, my work is about protecting the integrity of our products, supporting the people I work alongside and helping create an environment where quality is built into everything we do.”

Linda’s journey began in 1973, when she joined the Baltimore facility as a laboratory technician. She recalls that at that time, the facility was managed by Coca-Cola USA, and it produced canned products not only for the local market, but also for export to the military. “That was a point of great pride,” she says. “Knowing that the products we made were supporting those who serve our country.”

Over the decades, new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow appeared and her commitment to the mission of quality and excellence remained constant.

Throughout her career, Linda has worn many hats: laboratory technician, inventory manager, export coordinator, auditor, business analyst, SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) specialist, and quality manager, among others. “My path continued to evolve into auditing and systems work, where I traveled extensively supporting facilities across the country,” she shares. Her experience culminated in her leadership roles in system transformation initiatives, including the implementation of SAP, which allowed her to collaborate internationally and contribute to the development of global standards.

After many years, Linda decided to retire. But that didn’t last long.

Linda’s Journey Back

Even after retiring from the Baltimore facility in 2013, Linda’s bond with Coca-Cola Consolidated remained strong. She continued as an independent contractor, supporting other facilities in Philadelphia, Morristown and Indianapolis before returning to Baltimore in 2016.

“After two years as a contractor, I returned to the Baltimore facility as the Consolidated Management Systems Administrator, bringing with me a broader perspective and renewed commitment to the work,” Linda recalls. Her journey reflects both continuity and growth—rooted in a deep connection to her company and colleagues.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at Coca-Cola Consolidated, Linda points to the Company’s foundation of faith and service. “One of the most meaningful aspects to me is the commitment to a principle that reminds us that whatever we do, we do it in a way that honors God. That is something truly special, and it resonates deeply with me.” She values the spirit of care, compassion and community that defines the workplace, adding, “Having a chaplain present regularly, taking time to connect with people, listening and supporting them, is something that means a great deal to me. It creates an environment where people are not only valued for the work they do but for who they are.”

Linda finds inspiration every day in the people around her. “I am surrounded by individuals who are dedicated to making a difference every day.” She is also uplifted by the engagement of the leadership team. “They take time to visit, to connect, share conversations and offer encouragement. It reinforces a sense of Purpose and direction.”

Career Growth and Being Empowered

Empowerment is a daily reality for Linda. “Every day that I come to work, I feel empowered to do my job, to be myself, and to support and serve others. That sense of trust and Purpose is something that I experience daily, and it makes a meaningful difference in how I approach my work each day.”

Reflecting on her growth, Linda expresses immense gratitude. “Growing my career within the Coca-Cola family has meant everything to me. It has provided me with opportunities to learn, create, and share in ways that have shaped both my professional path and who I am as a person,” she says. “Through the experiences I’ve had and the roles I’ve been entrusted with, I have grown, developed, and gained a deeper understanding of Purpose and service.”

Her proudest career highlight came in 2024. “One of the highlights of my career at Coca-Cola Consolidated was achieving zero findings during my International Organization for Standardization Audit and Food Safety Audits in 2024. That accomplishment reflected the hard work, discipline and commitment to excellence shared by our entire team. Linda values the people she works with, the opportunity to continue learning and adapting to new technologies, and the sense of Purpose she finds in her role.”

Looking back on over 50 years with Coca-Cola, Linda’s gratitude is profound. “I am truly grateful to be part of the Coca-Cola Consolidated family. Over the course of more than 50 years, this experience has meant so much to me, both professionally and personally.”

It’s clear that Linda Ewing’s legacy at the Baltimore facility is defined by her dedication, her faith and the countless lives she’s touched along the way. “This chapter of my journey has been especially memorable, and I am thankful for the people, the opportunities and the experiences that have shaped me along the way. It has truly been a rewarding and meaningful part of my life.”
